From: "MPCgram" To: Subject: MPCGram 951 Date: Monday, June 30, 2003 11:39 PM =========================================== MPC GRAM =========================================== Covering the entire World of Military Numismatics Series 004 - Number 951 Monday June 30, 2003 New Series Dinar Issued Series 1944A dinar was issued at the military money seminar to supplement the series 1944 already in circulation. The series is similar to series 1944 with the addition of the denomination in text in addition to numerals. This alteration was necessary because Series 1944 notes were reported that had been raised. Series 1944 continues to be accepted, but it is expected that it will be retired from circulation by attrition. Kroll Safe The report yesterday of Harold Kroll (not named in the report) surviving an aircraft crash and other emergencies was exaggerated according to information received today. It seems that Kroll was a terrible mess, dirty, bleeding, and exhausted. Reporters assumed that his condition was the result of enemy action. However, it is now certain that Kroll’s condition was the result of dumpster diving. He attempted to recover scrap material from the military money seminar. He was successful in recovering important selvage from series 031 MFC. After release from sick call, he was the big winner at the seminar poker game crushing other Festers and strangers too. =========================================== Editorial/opinion =========================================== As you can probably tell, things continue to be exciting here in Colorado. Dick Freyser and Joe Boling both reported to me that they had sent items for the Gram, but I cannot find these items in my mail boxes (admittedly rather full boxes). Joe says that his is important includes information on the YN auction here Wed. We will somehow get that information out tomorrow. Please watch for this information. Joe thinks that Gramsters will be interested in this information. =========================================== MAIL CALL =========================================== Dear Gram, I need to know where to go when i get to Colorado Springs. doug Gramsters, The Colorado Springs Coin Show is Friday July 4th through Sunday July 6th at the Colorado Springs City Auditorium at 221 E.
